DEACONS: MEN OF MINISTRY

 

The deacons are an important part of the life and ministry of the church! In this seminar, we see how the Bible describes the work of deacons, and how they can fulfill their ministry to the church through the service they provide.
 
We begin by discussing the twofold function of the church. Then we discover how the deacon fits into the overall plan for the church as described in scripture. Special emphasis is placed on the practical ministry of service by the deacons. We give ideas on how to raise up more servants for ministry, how to organize, how to have an effective meeting, the relationship of the deacons to the elders and minister(s), how deacons can set goals and plan strategies for their work, and more!
